How many vials are in a IGF-DES kit?

Every kit is 10 vials. The "5mg" label means 5 mg per vial, so a 5 mg kit gives 50 mg total, a 10 mg kit gives 100 mg total, and so on.

What is IGF-DES?

IGF-DES is an N-terminally truncated IGF-1 analogue with low affinity for IGF binding proteins. Because of this it is used to study IGF-1 receptor activation without the confounding buffer effect of the binding-protein pool.

Mechanism of action

Removal of the first three N-terminal residues sharply reduces IGF binding protein affinity, increasing free receptor availability locally.

Short half-life makes it a tool for acute rather than chronic exposure models.
Compared against IGF-1 LR3, which instead extends exposure.
