What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide that acts as a copper(II) chaperone, modulating ECM remodelling, antioxidant defence genes and dermal fibroblast activity.
Mechanism of action
Copper chaperone modulating ECM and antioxidant gene expression.
Primary research areas
Skin remodeling, hair follicle biology, wound studies.

GHK-Cu: expanded research context
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide-copper complex (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to Cu²⁺). Endogenous plasma levels decline substantially with age. Its most robust published effects are on dermal fibroblast activity, wound-healing gene expression and antioxidant capacity — properties that have made it a mainstay of clinical-grade cosmetic formulation for over two decades.
Regena Peptides lists GHK-Cu in two distinct formats. The cosmetic-grade 1 g vial (this page's default) is a raw ingredient for topical formulation with hyaluronic acid serums. A separate injectable-format research kit is available under GHK-Cu (Peptide) for laboratory protocols that require sterile 10-vial packaging.
